A range of factors can affect the speed and reliability of your Wi-Fi connection. These include the age and quality of the device, the number of connected devices in your home, the location of the modem, signal interference and other frequencies.
To accurately measure your internet speed, please perform speed tests on multiple different devices while standing in close proximity to your router.
You can check your speed by visiting http://www.speedtest.net.
If your internet speed is slow on only one device, this indicates that the problem is with the device itself rather than the internet connection. In this case, please contact your device manufacturer for assistance.
If your speed is slow on multiple devices, please complete the following steps:
Unplug the power cable on both your Wi-Fi modem and router.
Make sure all the lights on the equipment are turned off once you have unplugged it.
Wait 5 minutes.
Plug your modem and router back into the electrical outlet.
Please wait about 2 minutes to allow your devices to reconnect to the Wi-Fi network. If this doesn’t work, reach out to our customer experience team via chat and an agent will help you resolve the issue.
