If you're using a personal device (such as your own router, PC, or mesh system) that was previously connected to a different modem, switching to a Netcrawler modem may disrupt your connection and prevent access to the internet.
This occurs because your home devices may have stored the previous modem’s IP settings, which are no longer compatible with the Netcrawler modem — as it provides a new IP address and network configuration.
Steps to get connected:
Power off all devices connected to the modem, including both the modem and router.
Wait at least 20 minutes.
Power on the Netcrawler modem first, and ensure it’s connected to your router using an Ethernet cable.
Then, turn on all other devices.
Using a mesh system?
Be sure to unplug all mesh pods for about 20 min before connecting to our modem.
This process clears any old settings and allows your devices to connect properly to the new Netcrawler modem.
